I Can't Believe How Time Flies

I really can't. I can't believe that it has been almost a year since I last wrote a post. I also can't believe how fast that flew by and also how this blog was such an incredible part of my life for so long and the truth is that I have only barely even thought of it in a year. I do like to look back at the past posts and read them, somtimes it feels a little surreal, like did I really write that. It doesn't sound like my current inner dialog.

I think one of the reasons that I haven't posted is because I have quite taking so many pictures of my kids. As a matter of fact I hardly ever take photos of them anymore. That sounds a little harsh and sad but it's true. Maybe I need to take more pictures of them, I could do it from my iphone. Anyway just checking in after so long. I hopefully can get back into the groove, although pinterest takes an awful lot of time !!!

Enough Said

I have to remember these things. My kids are growing so fast and I so want to keep every little thing tucked away.

Dylan, she is such a girly girl, who would have ever thought I would have that. She sits down on the couch across from me and this is the conversation that ensues :

Dylan : "Mom do you know that boy Reed in my class?"
Mom : "No I don't think so"
Dylan : "Well every time I get near him her turns bright red."
Mom : " Do you know why?"
Dylan : " NO"
Dylan : " Mom I LOVE Reed"
Then an entire conversation about if I ever loved anyone at that age and yada yada yada.
Then she says the most insightful thing ever....
Mom :"What does Reed say when you talk to him?"
Dylan : "Oh he doesn't talk to me at all."
Mom : "Well why don't you ask him why he won't talk to you?"
Dylan :"I know why he won't talk to me mom. He won't talk to me because he LOVES me"

She's 8.5  .

So then we take Ryan to a birthday party. It's 5th&6th graders, 2 boys decided to have a dance party. Anyway when we picked Ryan up it was evident that he had danced himself all sweaty. We asked him about the party and he said : " Well at first I was a little embarrassed to dance but then my body just took over and once I started I just couldn't ever stop"  I love this child.....

Our 1st Attempt

This was our 1st attempt at a Christmas photo, didn't go so well. I actually tried 2 more times to get one that I liked of all 3 kids but it just wasn't happening. I take my Christmas cards very seriously and so i needed at least one good photo. I love this one but it wasn't working for me. 

I did actually put this one on the inside of the cards though, it warms my heart.
That's a lot of teeth !!!

Introducing.......

Mac & Lucy 

Lucy is the brown on the left and Mac is the black speckled on the right.

They are litter mates and about 15 weeks old now.

They are my babies and I think they are now the apple of my eye, I say phew to the kids where are the puppies. Just kidding, maybe.

The kids love them as well, I'm kind of shocked at how much they kids do like them. Today I caught Tyler outside with both of them in the corner and he was having a full blown conversation with them. He's just like his brother, they both are in that category of "a boy and his dog".  Now Dylan loves them because she can carry them around kind of like babies, I mean she is in HEAVEN !!!

Oh one other thing, I am in no way a pet photographer. This was kind of a logistical nightmare but no one got hurt!!!!

 

 

Holiday Photo Sessions

They almost killed me, I think I over scheduled, but I learned so much and really enjoyed the intensity of it all. It was a great eye opener to the different types of people that I know and have in my life. You can really tell in a picture who is like what and how everyone works together. I'm gonna share a few of my favorites from the gazillion sessions I did.

Looking back I'm amazed at how different each session looks. The setting was somewhat limited but I think this first one is my all time favorite.

              

Happy Holiday! I will do this again next year with a few minor adjustments. I know I have grown from the experience more than anything else lately !!!

Latest

So here is the last session I did, with a family that I shot last year. It is always fun to see them and how much the kids have changed. I have a soft spot for this little boy, he's one of my favs !!!

And this little sweetness reminds me of Dylan so much. They grow so fast.

Halloween 2011

It's true, their is an angel among us. Sucha n interesting costume choice, I have no idea where it came from or how she arrived at it but I think it was such a great success. We ended up making the wings ourselves and the dress was only slightly altered angel costume we got for $7. Felt great to put this together.

Now I can reassure you that Marvin the Martian and the angel got along just fine this night. The ray gun stayed holstered most of the evening, truly everyone was so into the candy that no one even knew there were others around.

I know that we must watch way too much cartoon network for him to even know who Marvin the Martian is, but he did and that was what he wanted. He did end up telling me that no one at school knew who it was, I reassured him that all the important people, the ones giving out candy, would know who he was and be delighted. They were.

Oh and my sweet little Luigi, Super mario brothers is just the bomb in our house. He was so handsome.

Of course the token group photo, such a lovely group of trick our treaters !!!

I'm Back Today

Yes that's right, for today I am back. I have actually missed this little blog but truthfully haven't had a lot of time or desire to sit down to it just now. Oh also I haven't been taking a lot of pictures lately.

Anyway here are some of my friend M, whom is kind of like my vicarious child, when I need a baby fix I just find a way to get around him and then I'm all set.

He loved that cupcake, although I am positive that's not the first one that he has had. Happy Birthday M and mom too.
