40/365 The Bean

40/365 The bean
Happy Birthday !!!
It's her 9th birthday, or it was last week, but we celebrated at brunch on Sunday.
I was looking for a picture of her that I liked and I saw this.
What is happening between Scott and G man?
Is that Grandpa's hand on the G mans face?

This picture is an even better example of what kind of torture these poor children go through.
I'm surprised the Bean even made it to her 9th birthday.
Although she does have her Aunt Staci documenting all the mistreatment they have and will endure.
Sorry kids I grew up with him and I paid my dues, at least someday you can put him in the old folks home of your choice.

39/365 Arch

39/365 Arch
These are some church doors in downtown Houston.

I didn't even pay attention to the name of the church I was just interested in the architecture. It was such fabulous weather I got in the car and picked up Terri and we went looking for good photo ops. We found one. That's it. I guess we just got sidetracked when we ended up driving through the real hood of downtown. I kept thinking her i-phone map thing is going to say "turn around your going down the wrong path, danger danger".
It didn't do that and we survived without a scratch, I would hope I won't be afraid to go back into that part of town next time.

38/365 Tree Fungi

38/365 Tree Fungi

It's been really wet and rainy here. I'm not sure how quickly something like this forms but I thought
it was really pretty.
First the close up.

37/365 Black&White

37/365 Black&White

So this is a friend we saw at the park. He plays with Little Man when he comes over. I LOVE HIM !
When we saw him at the park today the first thing he says to me is
"do you remember when I came to your house to play?"
Well yes I do and I would love to have him over again soon.

This is straight out of the camera and I love it. I had my camera set to the monochrome setting.
I wish it had a little more contrast but I am very pleased with the black and white photos that
I got. His eyes came out so sparkly.

36/365 Keyboard

36/365
I took this with my Sony Cybershot, that's about 6yrs old. Really I was seeing if there was anything on the camera that I needed to download, I was thinking of making it the kids camera.
I ended up with this shot and really loved it so then I started playing around with the B&W feature on the camera. I didn't get any good shots from then b/c it was late but I think I'm going to try a few B&W outings!!!  Don't you just love all the dirt and the random hair hanging out on the keyboard. EWWW

35/365 Backyard Brawl

35/365 Backyard Brawl

Actually this post has 2 pictures to focus on but my favorite is the first.
What I first want to point out is the obvious, things can get ugly even in the most perfect households with the most perfect children. Now that we have an understanding there I shall continue.
It seems ever since Christmas and Santa delivering a shiny new TRICYCLE for LITTLE MAN, there have been numerous shoving matches over who gets to "help" Little Man ride it.
Well I think this day everyone was kind of tired and bored with that same old argument so we pushed things up a notch.
Oh by the way I am the "spy" standing inside my bedroom cleaning out my closet with the window open "watching" my children. Really I would never send them outside in the fenced in backyard to play amongst themselves. Anyway in this first photo, we shall call it Exhibit A, we have full on evidence of a little goading, notice the extended leg The Rhino is "stretching" as Little Mama comes zooming around the corner.
Let's move on to Exhibit B.

Here we go, Exhibit B, the main brawl evidence. Notice the bikes in a confused and mangled LOCK position. This is almost life threatining. At this point I missed the first actual blow(I was so excited that I had my camera I couldn't decide to break it up or just hang out and take photos and watch), well at least I missed photographing the first blow. That would have been a real keeper, let me tell you!!!

So at this point I have thrown my very valuable and presious camera on the bed and am seriously thinking about jumping thru the window to break it up. Ok let's get real, I started screaming at them to stop hitting each other or I was going to come out there and create a little brawl between my hand and their butts !!! It was very exciting to capture this more with my camera, really. I mean what I wouldn't give to have a picture of me scrapping with one of my brothers !!!

34/365 Grilling/Grillin

34/365 Grilling/Grillin

You can say it whichever way works for you. I would just like to send some peace and love
to the grill master for a successful maiden voyage for this BIG BAD CHAR-BROIL.
I can't believe it has taken over a month to break this bad boy in but I guess with the rain
and freezing temps it hasn't exactly been grilling weather.

We did it last night and I must say the BBQ chicken was fabulous, thanks honey.
Now I'm in full on grill mode and might just cook outside again tonight.
As little mama would say "Peace Out".
