31/365 Bouncing

31/365 Bouncing
This was the birthday party we went to today. It was fun but it was cold outside.

I loved these 2 pictures :

They are happy and laughing.
They are laughing at this :

I was slightly amused at the tongue hanging out the side of his mouth, maybe like he had
been to one to many parties?

30/365 Rosy

30/365 Rosy
I loved these roses, they were so pretty.
I found Little Mamas disco ball, it's what she took for show and tell on Friday!
It fit perfectly in amongst all the wilting flowers.

It has been such a surprising weather day here, IT'S COLD !!!
Monday we were sweating with the Ac on and today the heater is on full force.
Rob and the kids brought me flowers back from their breakfast outing this morning, it was
a wonderful surprise. Tonight the kids are staying over with their Oma and we are doing something. Maybe Rob will keep me warm !!!! Lucky me :)

29/365 Actions

29/365 Actions
I did it, I bought some actions. I always thought I could live with the free ones but OHHHHH
I LOVE THESE.

This is the before. The person taking the picture, me, needs a little help.
The child posing for the photo, is PERFECT !!!!

This is the after, which I LOVE !!!
Really I though the before was pretty good until I ran these actions.
Now my goal is to get closer to the after straight out of the camera.

The Before.
I loved it.

The After I love even more!!!

28/365 M&W Sounds Like Rootbeer But it's Not

28/365 BABELICIOUS
No really it's a word, the spell check told me so !!!
These 2 kids were so cute, it kind of makes me yearn for that sweet baby life, for
all of about an hour! My 2 friends let me practice taking some pictures of their kids.
I was very pleased since this was really the very first time I have done anything like this.
All these are SOTC.

This is little ms. M. She is sooo cute, I really fell for her.
All smiles and such a happy baby.

I ended up absolutely loving this hair bow.
I'm not usually partial to them but her Do Rag,as her mama calls it, was so cute!

This is mr. W, that's a capital W. He is almost 8 months old and he took a little longer
to warm up to me but eventually he smiled.

He is very focused on the chew toy!!!

Ahhh there is his smile.
Handsome !

I had such a good time smiling and hanging out with these kids and their moms.
Thanks for letting me exploit your babies, I hope you get a few good pictures out of it.

Any constructive criticism is appreciated.

27/365 Blue

27/365 Blue
The sky has been brilliant the past few days. My husband was holding the steering wheel, we are such daredevils, and I took the picture out the window.
I'm trying to get the hang of this lens, it's a wide angle and interesting to work with.
I kind of like the way the lamp post and the side of the car mirror each other in shape.

As for my 365 day challenge, I am changing my own rules. I've decided my goal is now
just to make sure that I post 365 times this year, like one for each day, and
each day must have a one word theme to go along with the photo.
So there it is, I'm changing the rules mid stream.

I also saw this self imposed challenge where the photographer took an object and she
has 365 days to photograph the object in 100 different ways. I thought it was brilliant.
I'm looking into that for next year but will for sure follow her progress.

26/365 Socket Hair

26/365
All you need are some balloons, children, and a few moms and you too can have some
Socket Hair.  Yes it looks like we moms were lounging around, not paying any attention to our youngins and poor Cash stuck his finger in the socket, but that isn't the case at all, not even close. All it takes is a  little rubbing, which really who minds that, by a few balloons and voila Cash has Socket Hair !
Thanks Cash for modeling.

24 & 25 /365

24/365
So I took this at family dinner yesterday.
It reminded me of when I was young, I used to loooove to scream, really loud.
I know my parents thought I was crazy, especially when I would walk in the house and really just
let loose. I mean it was from the bottom of my gut. I don't remember my moms reactions but
I do remember my dad thinking I was crazy, right dad?
It sure felt good to scream like that, and not be mad at anyone!!!
It's kind of sad we have to grow up.

25/365
I was inspired to look at these flowers, from me to myself, in the light of the morning sun.
(I love ya honey but you NEVER give me flowers)
This was my favorite shot.

22 & 23 /365 LittleMan's Birthday Party

22/365
This is the grocery store where a really behind mom goes late late late at night to get cake mix
for her LittleMan's birthday party the next morning. It was kind of creepy, I so rarely get to
go to the store when there is no one there. Usually there are people wall to wall with people.

Here he is the LittleMan blowing out his candles. It was a great party with a balloon artist,
a little pin the tail on the donkey, some face painting and some ride on toys.
Our first party at home, I would consider it a success.

Here he is. The cutest birthday boy I know today !!!

21/365

21/365
I can tell at times this 365 is going to be a challenge.
When things get busy this is a real stressor on my brain.
I like that in some ways and not so much in other ways.
So far so good. This isn't even good really but I took it today and that's that.

20/365 Socks & Cars

20/365
These are Little Man's favorite socks and favorite cars too. I told him if he let me take
some pictures I would let him rot his brain in front of the tv.
He didn't get it and then got distracted so the tv wasn't an issue.
Did I mention that we don't actually own these socks, they came home
from school one day and he has been wearing them ever since! EWWW

19/365

19/365
I really have to get out of the house more.
It seems like things are just boring.
This is my favorite glitter though and I create projects just so I can use it.
It makes me happy.
I want pretty landscape photo ops.
I need another day to myself to just drive around and take some pictures
That will happen in the next week, I PROMISE.

Week 3 "We Are Family"

This is my entry for the
"We Are Family" week.

They are family !!!
Take a look at some other great entries over at :

18/365 Birdie Birdie in The Sky

18/365
So there are a few pictures here that I really liked but I chose this one. Actually
the first thing that came to mind when I saw it was that saying my dad used to tell us,
"birdie birdie in the sky, please don't *^%$ in my eye"
Thanks Dad

Being MLK day and the fact the Rob works for a bank we ALL had the day together.
Usually we while it away at home doing house type stuff but today we decided to be different so we packed up and headed to Herman Park.
Honestly not the most brilliant plan, it being a national holiday that produces parades and all.
But the kids had a great time feeding the pigeons and ducks and occasionally snacking on some of
the "bird food".
Sneaky Rascal!!

But those pigeons really are hungry and they nipped at him,
Ok well really they just scared the @&*% out of him when they all took
off at the same time!
Frankly they scared everyone when they did that.

And The Rhino, well he couldn't help but try to touch a pigeon. It became a real game with him,
kind of like catching squirrels used to be.
Maybe I should have reminded him to wash his hands after he touched a few, but I forgot until just
this moment. EWWWW

I just liked this little guy, he seemed kind of lonely.

I just wanted to document the 3 scrappiest looking pair of shoes we saw today.
We sure did look like a motley group when we arrived. I even made a
comment to Rob about it.

My comment on this photo is really about how much the coloring in his hair
looked like the color in the post behind him. He has so many  natural highlights,
I just have alot of expensive highlights !

A Photo Op for the big kids.
Wow they aren't yelling at each other.

And then there is this. I leave the boys with Dad for an hour to run some errands and
return home to 2 very excited faces and some very drawn on legs!!!
He is telling me what he drew on himself. I did tell him we don't draw on our bodies and he
really wanted to know why. My best response was because we have paper silly!!!!

17/365 There' A Party Brewing !!!

17/365
Little Man's birthday party is coming up and I am in full mama crafty mode. I love this stuff!!!
And I love all this glitter plus it gave me something to do with the kids.
Oh and I already had all the stuff, what does that say about me?
These are the party hats and this shot is SOOC. I thought the colors came out well,
it was kind of confusing because the regular lights overhead and then the sunlight
from the back door were all shining in at the same time, but in the end they turned out fine.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PARTY
Little Man !

16/365 The Bathroom hand Dryer

16/365
It's like a fun house mirror,
the bathroom hand dryer that is. We spent a while
looking in it and making faces and drying our hands.
This is SOOC today as well, just b/c I thought it should be.

This is probably how I would have processed it. I like
that vintage green/yellow thing.

14 & 15/365 And a rant

14/365
So my friend at 365 Before and After was talking about pictures SOOC(straight out of the camera),
which means they haven't been altered with Photoshop or anything. So I decided I would see what I can do with that idea. This is SOOC, I'm trying to understand the whole action and capturing action thing. It was also fun just being in the moment with my kids. There has been so much talk about "being in the moment" lately, maybe God is sending me a message and I'm finally listening?
So this was from yesterday.

15/365
This is today's photo and it has been ever so slightly altered. It was a little underexposed and I put a little vignette on there. Other than that it was the second train on the same tracks without the arms ever going up. LOVELY !!! Especially when you are trying to get somewhere. So I decided to be in the moment and take some pictures. I'm also interested in Panning, which is moving the camera at the same time as the subject is moving. It can be a really neat effect.

What about the word STAKE on here. Are they hungry? and just don't know how to spell? or are they staking their claim on a certain territory or is that someone's nickname? WHO KNOWS !!!

What I really wanted to go off about is the United Stated Post Office which seems to get crappier service inside all while raising the prices exponentially !!! I don't understand and am sure I'm not meant to but I HATE going there, always !!!
Have a great Friday !!!

The Rhino actually posed for me, I was stunned!!!

I took this shot the other day and I just loved it and wanted it in here.
Now that I think of it another great pose by the Rhino and that sweet little thing, although I know a little better, is the weeone for A Girl In The South !
Have a great week !

The owner of the car liked that.
Thanks Terri for being a model for me today !!!

Here is Terri again. I'm practicing taking pictures and Terri was a rock star for helping a friend out !!!
Thanks yet again Terri !
