94/365 Easter
These were the eggs that we dyed. I loved doing this as a family, even dad got involved!
My favorite ones are the yellow, which we did with Tumeric, and the bright blue, which we did with the red cabbage!!! You have to boil the stuff with a little vinegar for about 20 minutes then
drain it and let the eggs sit for a couple of hours in the dye. It takes a little bit more patience but the kids really loved getting all the stuff in the pots to boil and then checking the eggs periodically. I'm not sure I will ever buy store dye again!!!
love this pic..the bark and other stuff look neat with the smooth eggs
ReplyDeleteHA...I figured it out!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous eggs! (another egg dyeing question...what did you do to get them so glossy looking? ...are they just dipped in water for the pic, or did you glaze them with something?) Seriously, you rule the egg dyeing!!!
ReplyDeleteOh I think the eggs are still wet from the humidity we have here, that's why they are shiny. Otherwise they would be flat.
ReplyDeleteLove this photo and I am so impressed with the homemade egg dye - that is awesome!
