334/365 OH MY !!! 

I'm sure that most of you people(all 3) that read this won't understand but maybe I can relate my excitement in some way. While cruising the blogosphere tonight I found this free action called PaperMama Brighten Me. Did I mention it was free ;) I found it at Paper Heart Camera which I think is an offshoot of The Paper Mama, I'll have to investigate further. Anyway today is Touch Up Tuesday and I'm playing. The reality is that I am beyond thrilled, I am so happy I feel like I taking a warm bath filled with soft marshmallows which are really bubbles but they smell like toasted marshmallows. 

For me I'm not sure it gets much happier unless maybe, well never mind.

The reality is I ran the Paper Mama brighten up action on exposure and set the whole thing to 50%.

Simple easy quick, I'M LOVING IT !!!

I had to keep some of the crazy cousins the other day, luckily this wakos mom was with me so I wasn't afraid.  It was actually fairly calm and manageable. I won't be volunteering again soon but every once in a while it seems like a good idea. Nothing like a little dress up fun, even if you are an old man .

I'm trying to catch up on a few(9or10) posts that I should have already posted.

I have about 36 days left in my 365 project and I'm not sure whether to be thrilled beyond belief or disappointed that I didn't stick so strictly to the rules. I know that Rob is absolutely shocked I have stuck it out his long and I thank him for his support.

So this week on Ramblings and Photos the Scavenger Hunt Sunday words are The View Above, Something Hot, Something Cold and Sparkle.

I enjoyed focusing on this stuff. It sparked my interest in textures, I guess I was lacking in a truly interesting photo and so thought oh Ashley at Ramblings and Photos uses textures so why don't I try it again, it's been a long time since I've used them. So here goes.

Well park season is here again, LUUUUUUV IT !!! It means that we get to be outside often. Of course now we are dealing with homework, that's a beast in and of itself. Anyway we made it out yesterday with scooters in hand or under foot .

Little Mama was trying to do what they call "The Midget" . I have talked to The Rhino about this term, I think it's not politically correct anymore. But the term little people doesn't exactly fit the description of the trick.

I wanted to mention that I was practicing my panning technique on these photos. I'm still trying to figure out how to use all the features on my camera, I noticed yesterday, before I took these, it was creating huge files, like 35mb. I was shocked and couldn't figure out what had changed or who had changed what? 

Long week, I'm glad that Thanksgiving is so soon. The big kids have school on Monday and Tuesday but Rob will be home with Little Man and me so I'm very excited. 

He never takes time off like this ;)

306/365 Self Portrait

Ok so this was really hard for me. First I thought I would take some pictures of myself, since I'm never in front of the camera.  I thought maybe I would have a little control over things. Well really the things I wanted to control in these pictures wasn't really possible, like what I look like. But anyway I ended up taking these only after a series of pictures that I took of Rob and me. Then I took pictures of each kid with me and then I let the kids take pictures each by themselves. ANYWAY they all came out so wonderful and I'm making a video of all of them now. That's to come soon.

This seems kind of like a boring group of photographs. I can't be off the wall exciting all the time, it's just not how I am. 

Here is little mama in her Ice Princess costume for Halloween.

I'm calling it Q for Queen costume. I had plans of getting her all gussied up again and taking photos posing her like a queen, didn't happen today.

R is rusty and red.

I think I might have posted one like this before. These big things of barbed wire sit behind the barn at the farm. I just love them.

S is for sunrise, which we now see sometimes. I know I had the kids with me when I took this but not sure where we were going that early in the morning !!!

N is for night. Now that it gets dark earlier eating on the patio becomes somewhat  of a dark experience.  The sun sets on us before we are finished. (And I wish my patio had a Pergola like this.)

O is for so many things, the first one that came to mind is Oversized. What you may ask was I initially thinking, well about the hot chocolate of course. Then I started looking at the photo and realised I'm in it and well it occured to me that I;m rather oversized as well. It wasn't really all that  much of a lightbulb moment, I mean I have been aware for a while of my oversizedness but I thought it was kind of hilarious. Please laugh with me !!!!

Finally P is for Pastries. Now I was just thinking if I didn't eat so many Pastries at Night I might not be Oversized !!!! Wow that was fun, or should I say good. I love the almond croissant ! 

I'm reading that book Women Food and god for book club and there is this story in there that I keep thinking about. It talks about a man who crosses the border on a donkey smuggling something to sell on the other side. For years the crossing guards know he is a smuggler and search him thoroughly each and every time, never finding anything. After many years the smuggler moves to a different country where he runs into one of the border guards. The guard asks now that he has relocated and won't be coming across the border can he please tell him where whatever he was smuggling was hidden. Do you know what it could have been and where? scroll down

The smuggler tells the guard he had been smuggling donkeys the whole time !
